Assets
The Assets tab is your perp asset explorer: a searchable, sortable table of every perpetual-futures asset on Hyperliquid with live price data, open interest, funding, and leverage. Use it to find where liquidity and action are, and to build Filters around specific coins or funding/leverage profiles.
Using the Asset Table
Columns
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name | Coin name (e.g. BTC, ETH) |
| Price | Current mid price in USD |
| 24h Change | Price change over the last 24 hours, as a percentage |
| Volume | 24-hour trading volume in USD |
| Open Interest | Total open interest as USD notional (converted from coins via the asset’s mid price) |
| Funding Rate | Current hourly funding rate, shown as a percent (e.g. +0.0013%). Positive = longs pay shorts; negative = shorts pay longs. |
| Max Leverage | Maximum leverage allowed for this asset |
Most columns have hover tooltips with longer explanations.
Sorting and search
Click any column header to sort (Name, Price, 24h Change, Volume, Open Interest, Funding Rate, Max Leverage); click again to flip direction. Default is Volume descending. The search bar matches by coin name; results are debounced.
Pagination
20 assets per page. Previous/Next buttons at the bottom of the page.
Funding Rate
Funding keeps the perpetual price anchored to the underlying. Hyperliquid settles funding hourly across all perps. The underlying value is an hourly decimal — for example 0.0000125, which is 0.00125% per hour.
The Assets table and asset detail page show the hourly rate as a percent: the raw hourly decimal multiplied by 100, so 0.0000125 renders as +0.0013%. This is not an annualized figure.
If you want the annualized view, note the conversion used elsewhere: 0.0000125 / hr annualizes to roughly 10.95% APR (the Filter Builder’s funding criterion is entered and displayed in this APR form; the AI Analysis report shows “Funding APR”). The Explore tab’s funding criterion matches the raw hourly decimal directly.
- A positive funding rate means longs pay shorts every hour — a tailwind if you’re holding shorts (or copying short traders) on that coin.
- A negative funding rate means shorts pay longs — a tailwind for longs.
Advanced Mode (the Explore tab)
The Explore tab also covers assets. Set criteria and see which assets match, or view how they distribute across metric ranges.
Setting criteria
The left-side panel shows all available criteria fields. Set min/max ranges to narrow your results.
| Field | What it filters |
|---|---|
| Price | Mid price in USD |
| Volume | 24-hour trading volume in USD |
| Open Interest | Matches the raw coin-denominated open interest (the stored base-coin count), NOT USD. The display surfaces convert to USD, but this criterion compares against the stored coin figure — convert before you type. |
| Funding Rate | The raw hourly decimal — not the annualized APR the Filter Builder uses. Convert before you type. |
| 24h Change | Price change over 24 hours, as a percentage |
| Max Leverage | Maximum leverage allowed |
View modes
- Bucketed Distribution View: shows how assets distribute across metric ranges. For each dimension (e.g., Open Interest), you see buckets like “10M to 50M” with the count of assets in that range and aggregate stats (average price, average volume, average funding). This answers questions like “how many assets have negative funding right now?” or “which price range has the deepest open interest?”
- List View: a filtered, sortable table of individual assets matching your criteria. Click any row to navigate to the asset detail page.
Asset Detail Page
Click any row to open the full asset profile. The header shows the live price, 24-hour change, and Share / AI Analysis / Refresh buttons, plus a price chart with 1D / 1W / 1M ranges.
The key metrics cards show:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Volume (24h) | Trading volume over the last 24 hours |
| Open Interest | Shown as USD notional (coin count × current price), labeled Open Interest (USD). Only falls back to the raw coin count — clearly labeled with the coin name, e.g. “Open Interest (BTC)” — when no reliable price is available. |
| Funding Rate (hourly) | The hourly funding rate, shown as a percent (positive = longs pay shorts) |
| Oracle Price | The Hyperliquid oracle price used for funding and liquidations |
| Max Leverage | Maximum leverage allowed |
| Isolation Only | Whether the asset supports isolated margin only |
The Overview tab additionally shows Size decimals, Premium: (the difference between the perpetual’s mid price and the oracle price, as a percent), Previous day price, and Last updated.
Important notes
- The Assets surfaces show funding as the hourly rate (a percent), not as APR. The Filter Builder is where funding is entered in annualized APR terms. See Funding Rate above.
- Open Interest display surfaces — the Assets tab, Explore, and the asset detail page card — all show USD notional (coin count × current price). If an asset has no reliable price, these surfaces fall back to the raw coin count, clearly labeled (the detail card reads e.g. “Open Interest (BTC)”; the table and Explore list show the count with the coin name) — never a wrong dollar figure. Note the Explore and Filter Builder open-interest CRITERIA match the raw coin-denominated stored figure, not USD — convert before you type.
- Prices update periodically from Hyperliquid and may lag the exchange by seconds.
